Introduction:
● The rugged analog panel meter is a Taut Band type.
● “Auto-Ranging” LED indicates which scale is valid. Lower scale indicates short circuit from up to 5G ohms/5KV or 2.5G ohms/2.5KV.
● Scale plate LED illuminates automatically the valid scale within the arc to use. Upper scale indicates from 2G /2.5KV. During auto-discharge to 100G /2.5KV and 4G /5KV to 200G /5KV.
● Indication of test “Voltage Presence” during test. Pre-test warning of external voltage presence if >110VAC.
● “Battery Good” LED Indication. (lit when battery is good.)
●  Indication of selected voltage. (2.5KV or 5KV) Auto-Ranging indicates that this instrument is changing the range automatically. The selected range is indicated by a LED into the panel meter.
●  A range is selected when the corresponding LED is lit. Without a lit LED, the reading is invalid. Should you forget to turn off the instrument, the meter is equipped with a “Auto-Off” feature.
● “OFF” button is used to turn off the tester at any given time. Depressing the “OFF” button, it will immediately turn power off on the control system of the instrument.
● “ON” button is used to power the tester on. The tester will sound to confirm power has been applied.
● “Voltage Select” button is used to select 2.5KV or 5KV test. Note that this button selection is only active when test is not in progress.
● “Test Start/Stop” button is used to start and stop the selected test.
